Meteorology gets it's name from the greek word "meteorol" , which means something that happens in the sky. The Greek philosopher Aristotle, who made a number of scientific studies, made the first study of the atmosphere "Meteorologic". In early times people watched the skies and observed how this phenomena occurred.
